REVISITING ATTRACTION by Silas
Firstly, I want to point out that Iam not a writer, because Ienjoy talking more, but Iwant to share this interesting story. I am a bus driver, Iusually do the Harare-Bulawayo route, so I’mnot at home most of the time. In fact the pastweeks have been very hard for business, on some days we are forced to cancel our trip back to Harare because our passengers are sofew. Meanwhile when Icome home after a day or two things are not the same with madam, wedon’tlaugh like we used to, in fact Ican say we have not been having sex. I have been wondering why not because Iam fine and fit, but when Iget home Ijust don’tfeel like touching her. I spoke to my friend about this and he said maybe Iwas just tired but Icould feel something else. I realised Iwas no longer attracted to my wife. A few days ago when Icame back home we had an argument. She said Iwas having another woman in Bulawayo that’swhy Iwas now spending longer there and when Icame home Ididn’teven have sex with her. I also told her that long back she could surprise me when Icame home but now she just gives me food and doesn’twant sex too. But she was still sure that Ihad another woman so Itold her the truth that Idon’tfeel attracted to her anymore. She doesn’tdress nice like she used to do, and she doesn’tput on any nice make up for me. Then she told me she wasn’tattracted to me too anymore. She said Iused to play soccer on weekendsand look fit, now Ihave a big stomach, and when Icome home Ijust smell of sweat, Iam dirty and my beard and haircut she doesn’tlike it. It was funny because we were having the same problems, and these are problems we can fix. So we spoke about it and now I’mtrying to look nice for her, Isometimes even wear suits and now she wears all those nice things that Ilike. Everything is getting nice again, Ihave even started playing soccer again. I think talking with your wife is very important because you prevent small problems from becoming big. Sometimes you could actually be the problem, so talk to her. By the way, we now have sex again! –Silas aka Boss Sando
